Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol



This Saturday, my friend and I went to watch the The fourth installment of Mission Impossible series, called the Ghost Protocol. First off, I want to say the movie is awesome. Two and half hour of total awesomeness! Tom Cruise was stunning as always, with his cool stunts, especially climbing the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Quick trivia: Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest structure in the world.



The technological devices shown in the movie was quite futuristic but not impossible given our current technological ability. I am really impressed by the background projection device and the high-tech contact lens.  It is a must watch for all action loving geeks out there.

Also, Indian bollywood actor Anil Kapoor got a role in the movie! He is a Indian telecommunications entrepreneur called Brij Nath. There was a scene in mumbai, where Agent Carter gets Brij Nath to reveal the satellite override code.

Comet Lulin Comes Closer

Comet Lulin will be on its closest approach (.41 AU) to earth on 24th February. It will not be much bright though (Max. magnitude 4.0 - 5.0). Still on a dark sky you may be able to spot it as a white splotch against the black sky. Look for it in the constellation Leo [ skymap ]. It will lie only a few degrees from saturn. The comet actually looks green through powerful telescopes. This is because, its gassy atmosphere, of the size of Jupiter, contains cyanogen(CN) and diatomic carbon(C 2 ), both glow green in sunlight.
